Closing Out 2025 with Gratitude

Many of us, myself included, have moved through 2025 feeling stretched, tested, and asked to let go in ways we didn’t always choose consciously. It’s been a year of challenges, release, and, if we’re lucky, moments of clarity about what truly matters. Insert collective sigh. Or maybe it’s less of a sigh and more of a deep, full-body yawn—because I don’t know about you, but I am tired.

Not the kind of tired that comes from avoidance or stagnation. This is the tired you feel after a demanding workout, when mind, body, and soul have all been engaged. The kind where your muscles ache, your breath is deeper, and your system knows it has been worked. I feel like the fibers of my being have been broken down this year—stretched to their edges, challenged to adapt, and now ready to rebuild.

And just like any good workout, the soreness doesn’t always feel good, but it is good. It’s evidence that effort was made, that energy was spent with intention, and that growth is underway, even if the results aren’t fully visible yet. That soreness is information. It tells us we showed up. And honestly? I’m ready for what comes next.

So… how do we rebuild?

In the physical body, rebuilding muscle requires two things: pressure and nourishment. The stimulus comes first—the resistance, the challenge, the stress on the system. Then comes the recovery: rest, fuel, hydration, and care.

In that sense, 2025 was the year of the pressure. And 2026? That’s the nourishment.

If we’re being literal, this looks like supporting your body with balanced macronutrients—protein, carbohydrates, healthy fats—along with vitamins and minerals that replenish depleted systems. It looks like sleep, hydration, and movement that feels supportive. Take my Astrology for Health and Wellness course to find what that looks like for you.

But on a deeper, more metaphorical level, rebuilding asks us to restore balance between mind, body, and soul. And one of the simplest and most powerful ways to do that is through gratitude.

Gratitude is not just a list of things you’re thankful for. It’s a perspective shift. A way of orienting yourself toward what is working, what has been learned, and what has carried you through, even when the year felt heavy or unclear.

There is a growing body of research showing that gratitude practices can literally rewire the brain, supporting nervous system regulation, improving mood, strengthening resilience, and helping us integrate experiences more fully. From an energetic and spiritual perspective, gratitude also acts as a bridge; it helps us metabolize the past rather than remain stuck in it.

Gratitude doesn’t bypass pain or minimize difficulty. It doesn’t say, “Everything was fine.” Instead, it says, “Something meaningful happened here, and I am choosing to acknowledge it.”

As we close out 2025, gratitude becomes a way of honoring the work we’ve done—internally and externally. It allows us to recognize our effort, our endurance, and our growth, even if the outcomes are still unfolding. It helps us gently release what no longer needs to be carried forward, making space for nourishment, rest, and renewal.

So as this year comes to a close, I invite you to pause—not to rush ahead, but to look back with compassion. What challenged you? What strengthened you? What did you survive, learn, or finally let go of?

This isn’t about forcing positivity. It’s about integration. About acknowledging that the pressure shaped you and trusting that now, it’s time to tend to what’s been built.

Here’s to closing out 2025 with gratitude. I am grateful to you for following my journey.

Stay tuned as I am putting together a 2026 Astrology Workshop that is going to be deeply nourishing and insightful!
